    GWO Basic Safety Training 3.5 Day Refresher (5 Modules)

    Our intensive, in-depth GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher is primarily aimed at personnel that already work in the wind industry or related fields. The GWO refresher is perfect for individuals or groups that maintain duties in an offshore wind turbine environment – whether that be regular physical contact with a wind turbine or another offshore structure. 

    The course is directed and delivered by our team of in-house CWind Training instructors. Each has years of experience in the offshore wind industry, and are industry-leaders in providing GWO Basic Safety Training to students and businesses across the world.

    Summary:

    This GWO refresher course offers all essential safety skills over 3.5 days, in one location. We offer all the basic safety training approved by GWO to make sure you’re equipped to continue in your current role. These specialised qualifications allow you to operate in practically any role in the wind industry.

    The 3.5-day GWO basic safety refresher course comprises of:

    • Sea Survival and Marine Transfer
    • Working at Height and Rescue Refresher
    • First Aid Refresher
    • Fire Awareness
    • Manual Handling

    Pre-Requisites:

    Our Basic Safety Training refresher can be physically demanding, so in order to take part in the training sessions you must be medically fit and capable of participating fully.

    Other pre-requisites:

    • Valid in date GWO Working at Height, First Aid, Sea Survival, Manual Handing and Fire Awareness Certificate.
    • You must provide a valid photographic ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence
    • You must be 18+
    • The course is run in English and as such you must have an appropriate level of fluency in order to participate.

    £750 (VAT excl.) per person

    Duration:

    4 Days

    Equipment required:

    • Appropriate clothing to climb in (we advise loose clothing which does not hinder your movement)
    • Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (Parts of the training will take place outside)
    • Safety footwear
    • Swimwear (Towel, swimming base layer etc.) We have on site changing rooms and showers.
    • Personal kit

    You are allowed to bring your own PPE other than that provided by CWind Training. In order to proceed with the GWO Basic Safety Training course, you must provide a signed self-declaration stating that the equipment you provide is in good condition and relevant inspections are up to date. CWind Training withholds the right to refuse use of equipment if it fails visual inspection from our instructors.
