SAFETY FIRST IS ONE OF OUR CORE BUSINESS VALUES

The health and safety of our employees, contractors and all those that we work alongside is of vital importance to us and is paramount to our success. And it is all underpinned by excellence across the full spectrum of Risk, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (RQHSE).

Safety first

CWind is fully committed to meeting its responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, including the International Safety Management Regulations under the ISM Code. The Global Marine Group is accredited to OHSAS 18001:2007 emphasising the commitment to the continual improvement of health, safety and welfare of our employees.

Our fleet of windfarm support vessels transport technicians safely and comfortably to and from site. The CWind fleet conducted over 63,000 crew transfers in 2016. And in 2016 the Global Marine Group as a whole completed a staggering 1.65 million hours worked. All without injury.

Through our two dedicated training centres we conduct regular in-house and external training in accordance with the industry standard (GWO Basic Safety Training) and also complete project specific training. During downtime, refresher training ensures employees and contractors remain competent, vigilant and safe.

CWind proudly hold the RoSPA Order of Distinction, following 17 consecutive years of receiving their Gold Standard in recognition of outstanding occupational health & safety standards. The Group are also active members of the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA).

To ensure quality is upheld, we constantly invest in services, processes and organisational development, aiming to improve and sustain the performance levels that have seen CWind grow to become a leader in its field.

Respecting the oceans and environments we work in

Wind energy is a green industry and we’re passionate about delivering our vision of engineering a clean and connected future, supporting the people and companies that are helping to build this inspiring new reality.

We consider ourselves immensely privileged to operate our business in some of the most beautiful ocean and sea environments on the planet. Minimising the impact we have on these areas and their associated environments is essential to our continued success.

We work hard to reduce our carbon footprint, operating the most fuel efficient CTV fleet in the market which allows us to drive costs down for clients when providing an integrated service package as well as delivering a 35% reduction of CO2 emissions from our fleet over the last two years.
