Ian has more than 35 years’ experience as a Chartered Engineer having qualified as a Chief [Weapons] Engineer in the Royal Navy’s Submarine Service. He was educated at Royal Naval Colleges Manadon and Greenwich, and at Warwick Business School.
Ian joined Global Marine Group in 2016 from Soil Machine Dynamics where he was responsible for delivery of after-market engineering services to clients across the globe. Ian has held senior roles in the delivery of major capital projects, services and manufacturing businesses. Ian sits on two boards for the company the Group GMSL board, as well as the recently formed joint venture CWind Taiwan.
As Director of Power Cables at CWind, Andy is responsible for business and project growth at the company. Andy joined the Group in 2000, gaining a wealth of experience managing both telecom and power cable related installation and maintenance projects within Global Marine, before moving across to CWind, the Group’s power focused part of the business, last year.
Prior to joining the Global Marine Group, Andy worked as a Project Manager with a Subsea Pipeline Installation company where he managed a wide variety of installation projects worth in the region of £600million. Andy holds a B.Eng. (Hons) Marine Systems Technology from University of Plymouth.
Jessica, who joined in 2016, is one of CWind’s Business Development Managers, managing several major customer relationships. She is highly experienced in negotiations, sales and large account management, as well as designing account plans to successfully deliver on revenue growth targets. Jess’ largest contract award to date is in excess of $30 million USD.
Jess has come from the Manufacturing industry where she was a General Manager responsible for the delivery of special projects and services to Central Government and Ministry of Defence. She has over 10 years’ experience as a business leader, with a demonstrated history of applying strategic solutions in the renewables and environment industry. Jessica holds a BSc. Hons. focused in Environmental Science (1st Class) from University of Essex.
Joshua is the Director of Operations for CWind, with responsibility for ensuring all offshore activities are conducted safely and exceed client’s exceptions. Joshua oversees Operations, Projects, CTV Fleet and Turbine technicians, supported by his team. He joined CWind in 2012, where he started out with CWind as a generator technician, after which he was quickly promoted to offshore supervisor and then undertook other varied roles. Acknowledging his expertise with engines and vessels, CWind picked him out to help set up the Fleet Department as the Vessel Support Manager, maintaining and ensuring reliability of CWind’s fleet. It was during this role, that Joshua increased the on-charter time to 99%.
Prior to joining CWind, Joshua was a marine engineer working for clients such as Port of London Health Authority, City Airport Fire Service and HM Coastguard.
As Head of Learning, Danny leads the Learning & Development function of the group and is responsible for the development and enactment of a culture of continuous learning and organisational development.
Danny joined Global Marine in 2016 and assumed responsibility for CWind Training in 2017. He is a CIPD qualified Learning & Development professional with a consistently successful track record in the design, development and delivery of organisational development solutions within the Maritime, Subsea Cable & Offshore Renewables industry. By partnering all areas of the business, he ensures that training policies, strategies & requirements are fully compliant with legislation, aligned to company strategy and actively support the development and growth of Global Marine Group
