The GWO Working at Height and Rescue course is specifically designed to cater for those working in the offshore wind industry – giving them the knowledge and practical skills they need to become successful wind turbine technicians. In fact, our GWO Working at Height and Rescue programme is perfect for anyone who has duties in a wind turbine environment.

Summary:

This GWO Working at Height and Rescue course is designed to train individuals in correct access and rescue procedures whilst working at height on wind farms. The course involves theory information in a classroom environment and practical exercises on our dedicated training tower. The theory elements will allow individuals to show a sound understanding of knowledge relevant to working at height and the practical exercises require individuals to demonstrate a variety of access and rescue techniques.

Pre-Requisites:

Our GWO working at height course can be physically demanding and to participate in the training you must be medically fit and capable of participating fully.

Other pre-requisites:

  • You must provide a valid photographic ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence
  • You must be 18+
  • This GWO working on height course is run in English and as such you must have an appropriate level of fluency in order to participate.

£450 (VAT excl.) per person

Duration:

2 Day

Equipment required:

  • Appropriate clothing to climb in (we advise loose clothing which does not hinder your movement)
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions (Parts of the training will take place outsite)
  • Safety footwear

You are allowed to bring your own PPE other than that provided by CWind Training. You must provide a signed self-declaration stating that the equipment is in good condition and relevant inspections are up to date. CWind Training withholds the right to refuse use of equipment if it fails visual inspection.
