GWO First Aid

Summary:

The theoretical elements of the GWO First Aid course will allow you to show a good understanding of common threats to the human body, and the correct methods of dealing with emergencies.

The practical elements of the course will give you the chance to demonstrate the correct first aid techniques for primary lifesaving and how to regulate a variety of conditions. There will also be practical incident management exercises in dedicated training environments, built to replicate real-life scenarios.

Theory:

• Importance and Legislation
• Basic human anatomy
• Incident management
• Life-saving first aid
• Use of AEDs
• Normal first aid
• Written assessment

Practical:

• Life-saving techniques
• Correct use of AEDs
• Other first aid techniques
• Practical scenarios
• Ongoing assessment

Pre-Requisites:

The GWO First Aid course can be physically demanding and to participate in the training you must be medically fit and capable of participating fully.

Other pre-requisites:

• You must provide a valid photographic ID such as a Passport or Driving Licence
• You must be 18+
• This course is run in English and as such you much have an appropriate level of fluency in order to participate.
